Are there any similar apps with just the recipes?

I have used Whisk to do DIY meal kits from Hello Fresh and Everyplate recipes. You can share the recipe to Whisk then add it to your planner in the app and it will generate a shopping list.

2024 (so far) Review of Meal Delivery Services

r/ReadyMeals
Overall, this is a meal service I would return to a thousand times over. I would simply add in more protein. The only meal I didn't like was the Falafel meal which was surprising, but delightful that out of 14 meals, only one was pretty hard to get through. I plan on trying the meal kit next!

I don't have your cap on calories but it sounds like you might want to try something like a fitness meal kit that really focuses on "macros". I haven't tried it but something like Factor 75 might be a match for your preferences. As for cost, I think if you can afford it, you can ...

Meal kit services review

I haven't tried Purple Carrot or Sunbasket (on my potential future trial list), nor any of the countless other services, but based on my experience so far, I can highly recommend HC and HF, but not the others.

Meal Kit Recommendations - Best Value in 2021?

So my thought is maybe you can rotate 2 different meal kits. Everyplate is better than Dinnerly in my opinion and only $5/serving. Hello fresh or Blue Apron are about $9 a serving.

New to Meal Kits - Are they the cheapest alternative?

r/mealkits
I'm in the same boat as you. If you are in college, quite a few plans will give you a discount. What I primarily look for in a good meal kit service is a large number of options on a weekly basis (15 or more) and obviously meals that are appetizing.

Looking for frugal alternatives to services like Hello Fresh and Home Chef.

It's not really worth the price premium if your tomatoes get squashed even when you get a credit on the next box because now you have to go to the store anyway just to make the recipe. These days I just cook one-pot meals because it's easy. They usually last 2 days for our 4 eaters, unlike...
