RipX DAW is a very impressive app that allow you to stem, clean and enhance your songs quite easily (with a learning curve, you can find video tutorials about it). Then, for mastering, there's Bandlab that offers few mastering options for free.

Currently I just use stock Ableton plugins for these duties plus LA-2A. Fabfilter offer a full stack of VSTs for mixing and mastering and are famous for their ease of use. But they're expensive. However, I've noticed that there are some compelling and often cheaper alternatives in 2024, e....

You can do the same thing in a 'normal' DAW depending on how much metadata it will edit and how. You can also do the metadata afterward in a tagger app. So it's certainly not necessary to use a dedicated app; they're just better suited to a mastering studio.

I've tried most of them and it's the best out there from a capability standpoint. You have a lot more options to shape the sound compared to Landr. Also, if you do try it get the desktop app the interface is different than the website version. PLUS you get unlimited wav. files for $20/mont...

Softube has Drawmer, which I've tried and its meh. Surprisingly IK has one called One that I've found pretty useful, but there are plenty others. I usually just put a tape emulation, then One, then a maximizer/limiter.

You can also take a good piece of mixed music into a powerful app, mess with mastering tools, and screw it up too. So if you're not comfortable doing this, even if you have the tools, then something like BandLabs may be worth it.

Get Logic Pro X man. Not only is it a great DAW and a huge step up from GB, but it has everything you need to mix/master effectively.

Bandlab.com is instant and has 4 free presets but overall doesn’t give that mastery feel in songs. Recently found Kliga.com which I thought had great sound compared to others with 12 presets with good variations and it’s free. They offer lossless WAV format and it’s very easy to use (just upload and...

Seconding that Ozone is really neat and has some great features! Something else that you could mess around with is mastering.studio by plugin alliance. I tested it out with some of my tracks: not everything was great, but the times it worked it worked really well.

I tried it out. Does its job. Thanks! ... Ozone Elements often turns up cheap or free. Grab that and Reaper and you’ve the same or better for cheap or less. ... https://maastr.io/ These guys are solid. Just mastering and collaboration tools.
