I’m using the free app called Mimi. My audiologist recommended it. Matched well with last hearing test she did.

My typical comment for these topics is to always see an audiologist. Because you seem to recognize the pitfalls of self/home testing, maybe try the Mimi hearing test app? Best done in a quiet room.

I think it’s developed together with the Charité, for me it delivers quick and reliable results. I did a hearing test with Kind when I made my custom earplugs and the result was very close with this app to what they measured. It works best with calibrated headphones like AirPods and is totally free.

This looks like the Mimi hearing test app. When covid first occurred our otology office had to shut down for a month. We were managing many patients with fluctuating hearing losses and medical conditions through telehealth.

The test advises it’s not a substitute for an audiogram but it can give you an idea if your hearing is within or outside the normal range ... No worries. You can also use the sound scouts app.
