Edit: Djay has an Automix function that lets you automix songs without having to que them in. (So you can hear 2 mixed tracks as you'd want them to be mixed) I think so far it's the best option.

Most dj software is free - the only one I have found is Mixxx and it's very glitchy.

Serato is more expensive then VDJ to buy. Since Serato PRO doesnt give you Pitch in Time and some other features. You could do a subscription plan where you'll pay $15,- to get the extensions needed to do the cool stuff serato has to offer.

... The free answer is Mixxx, but Virtual DJ and Traktor can also be used without specific hardware. You could even hook that up with a small controller (Numark DJ2Go or something similar) if you would be able to leave that "out" all the time.
