DJAY by algoriddim has everything - I've been using it for 6 years and they are constantly improving it. I run it on an ipad with mixon 8 pro

I'd opt for a good cheap used controller, because mixing with a keyboard and mouse/touchpad is not nearly as much fun ... Traktor probably offers the most bang for the bug for the lowest one-time payment. ... I love Algoriddim DJay ... and the ...

... Virtual DJ is free for personal use, but will only work with the controller for 10 minutes at a time (you can restart the 10 minutes by restarting the software), might be enough to see if you like it.

If you are a mobile DJ, or open format DJ, Virtual DJ is really attractive. Rekordbox is the only real choice if you want to use CDJs. I hope they invest in the collection management tools. Serato is probably the best choice for DVS or vinyl control. There is one simple and obvious way to do most th...

I think Tidal is the only exception. Drmare works well for me with Apple Music ($40). The Spotify version is cheaper, I think. ... I have a Mac and started off on Algoriddim djay pro.

Every software has their own strengths and weaknesses but all are pretty good when it comes to the bulk of what DJ's need to do. ... I prefer Rekordbox over Serato, but I've been on Denon for over a year so I suppose my answer is Engine? 🤷♂️ ... It is personal preference. I haven't ...

Edit: Djay has an Automix function that lets you automix songs without having to que them in. (So you can hear 2 mixed tracks as you'd want them to be mixed) I think so far it's the best option.

I am starting with the Numark Party Mix II. Has anyone found an android app that works with their controller? Share ... Most controllers won't work on Android devices, especially Samsung ones.

I will say that IMHO it would work better for EDM mixing than open format - you'd have to tweak your transitions loads when moving between genres, I think. ... I've played around with it before and think it's okay. It's not as good as an actual person DJ (because transitions usua...

Most dj software is free - the only one I have found is Mixxx and it's very glitchy.

Ah, forgot to mention, I'm currently using Traktor and it's all electronic music. So the rekordbox android app will probably not be able to load the library... ... Mixo dj and lexicon dj might have an app that does what you want.

DJs also use sample and remix packs published directly by music producers, hence the sound is clearer ... Artists usually advertise remix packs on their social media. You can also have a look on Bandcamp, maybe Beatport ... Ahh okay cool. I’ll look into that. I really just mean if I want to mix the ...

Recordbox, virtual dj and serato have free versions. MIXX is free and open source and will work on Linux.

If you have it horizontal you can switch between FX, Cue Points, Loops, etc. ... Exactly what I’m describing... ... I would also recommend Superplay. Helps me post my mixes. ... DJ Player Pro has its problems but it’s worth it IMO.

Boris, I love this program but am having a hard time picking the transition points and the app saving them..... More replies More replies More replies ... I would also add "mixed in key" software is very good as well. You do have to pay for it, but it's well worth it imo ... Algoriddi...

Serato is more expensive then VDJ to buy. Since Serato PRO doesnt give you Pitch in Time and some other features. You could do a subscription plan where you'll pay $15,- to get the extensions needed to do the cool stuff serato has to offer.

... The free answer is Mixxx, but Virtual DJ and Traktor can also be used without specific hardware. You could even hook that up with a small controller (Numark DJ2Go or something similar) if you would be able to leave that "out" all the time.
