I would say that something like CoinSnap is good for identification, but valuation is a different beast. Depending on the collection and how much free time you have, you might be better taking it to a coin shop sometime to see if they could assist you.

Graded or Ungraded coins? For graded coins the respective registries are decent. For NGC graded coins I use the NGC collectors society Collection Manager. I suppose it allows PCGS coins also.
