I have fenix solar 7. Looked at expedition. But that goes low power mode you cant use many things. I would still like to see barometer. Any app that can still alow you to use watches functions while recording a 5 day canoe trip.?

There's an app in the IQ store for canoeing, I'm going to try it out later today on my forerunner 935.

Start with maps geared to canoers and these can be complemented with topo maps from, e.g., Toporama (wait for it....it'll load...) or Caltopo.

The Garmin will transfer data to the Garmin BaseCamp app on my laptop, where I can make notes and then transfer back to the GPS. This lets me draw in undocumented trails, places where I can hike out from should the need arise.

Well there's riverapp which shows water height (based on measuring stations) but it's geared towards whitewater/canoeing.
