... I’d recommend trying Fina money. It connects to your bank tracks expenses and offers some useful insights. You can categorize your spending easily and while it doesn’t have full receipt scanning you can manually input or adjust categories.

Below are the ones i used if you need more features. I had been using Money Manager by Real Bytes for over 5 years. It's great for the features it has but you can't club two categories and set a common budget goal.

BlueDriver. Not expensive. Limited functionality (can't tune, for example) but you can get codes and it will do functional tests. Plugs into the port and has a phone app.

YNAB recommendation! Phenomenal app, and I’ve used it to teach my teenagers to budget too.

The low end for consumer negative scanners is something like a Plustek, anything less than that and you should be asking yourself why you're bothering shooting film at all if you can't afford to capture the result with any sort of fidelity.

It very compact, portable and fine for the occasional scan but if you have the desk space to put it and find the budget, a proper document scanner is way better. (And to be honest, for occasional document scans or scans on the go, an app on your phone will likely do.)
