Definitely get the desktop app , spend 1-2 hours on YouTube tutorials and then get cranking. It really is very simple for most things although there are some annoying quirks/shortcomings with sketchup that you wouldn’t have with a more powerful tool like Solidworks.

It doesn’t have 3D, so it’s like AutoCAD LT, but you don’t need that for blueprints. I think the hatches aren’t compatible, I forget what else but you can easily use it in place of AutoCAD.

I've been using "Buildit app", the website, for many of my blueprints. But unfortunately, the app doesn't really exist in a very functional state, and the website is halfway made of dead ends and no longer supported features. Just wanted to hop ship to something new.

Practising architects work in cad/bim. For rapid iterations i print and draw alternatives by hand om tracing paper. An app is completely useless for me as an architect if it doesn’t integrate with revit.

It is the Suite Version of Chief Architect, basically the stripped down version but great for simple layout to full blueprints and is 129 but can be upgraded if needed.
