I use Aegis on Android. I guess it's available on other platforms as well (not sure, though). It's open source and lets you create encrypted backups. I replaced Google Authenticator with it.

I personally use Twilio Authy Authenticator now and have been for 3 - 4 years, the codes are securely backed up onto the cloud so they'll always be available across multiple devices and they also have a pc app.
