Magic Seaweed was the best. So sad they are gone. I hope they got a good payout.

Surfline is just nowhere near as good, and they keep badgering users to pay money for an app that's not very user-friendly…. Sad to see magic seaweed bought out and shut down by a greedy, unscrupulous developer like this…

Best app for wave check

There is no app, once you download it, it simply says “Go download Surfline”. Screenshots are from the old app This should not have passed Apple’s app review

Have preferred MSW to Surfline and always use it to double check Surfline when they say it is good. Very sad/ upset about the sellout This was the only good alternative app and now they just combined to one worse app.

I know that Surfline bought MSW a few years back, but now that MSW is officially gone i’m going to have to find another app :(

Its a good app that will show you the forecast but it wont show you quickly or help you find new spots easily, but it also doesn’t have paywall thats too bad mostly just ads and certain cams which you can just google anyway
