We analyzed 305 negative reviews of HISTORY: Shows & Documentaries from the App Store. Here's what users are saying.
Fundamentally broken streaming infrastructure that crashes during ads, loses playback position, and requires constant re-authentication despite users paying for cable access
"Absolutely the worst app EVER. Half the time it gets frozen on the title screen of course AFTER you watch an add"
"I have 20+ streaming apps. This is the ONLY one that consistently logs me out"
The app freezes whenever an ad is about to start. Only able to watch a few minutes of any program before the app locks up - no way to get past this. I’ve tried everything all the way up to deleting the app, because who needs that frustrating experience…used to be a good app
The app always locks up whenever it tries to play an advertisement so I can only watch the first five minutes or so of every episode and then it tries to play an ad and boom it locks up. I’m a network engineer with 30 years of experience and I know it is not my network.
Why do I need a provider to watch the app. Can’t get access to some current shows because I don’t have an acceptable provider.
I deleted the history channel because they insist on running political ads that promote Bozo the President. I still can’t believe that anyone would still support that imbecile let alone run promotional ads. Bye History Channel
I really like history channel. It would be nice if you could buy a subscription to it to get full access I mean, I stream everything I don’t have cable TV. If I had cable TV, I wouldn’t need a HISTORY channel app. Come on people give us the option.
This app is frustrating. Trying to login with Hulu but it’s trying to create a Hulu account. I already have an account
If you are advertising “The Curse of Oak Island “ on Tuesday at 9pm. Why do I have to wait for the next day to watch it?
History App requires an update and IOS 16 which my device has, yet App is not opening because it is not updating. I want to view History Channel without updating❕The service is paid for❕
