They have all this intrusive AI bloating the app just like every other Google app. I already switched browsers and search engines because of this, guess it's time to change my maps app. Newsflash: normal people hate AI.

Generally a good mapping App. Problem is that it is difficult to see what areas your offline downloads cover because of poor resolution of maps that show coverage area. This means I end up wasting bandwidth and storage with too much overlap of maps

There’s a recent update that ignores dark mode for half the app… Wow, AI has made you so much more productive! The rest of the app still seems to work, but I’m starting to use other apps.

This simple address 820 morning walk drive in Catonsville does not work. It brings up businesses in Baltimore that are 15 miles away. Same with 821. These houses are probably 15 years old and that street use to work.

I’ve used Google Maps for years and loved it. Forcing the AI slop into it is making it is enough to make me say no thanks. Remove the AI and maybe I will come back.
